LACC Preschool Program

At LACC, teaching your child is something that we take very seriously. For this reason, you will see professional lesson plans posted outside of each classroom that address the academic needs of the children in that room.  We implement differentiated learning strategies to meet each child at their level.

Children at Loving Arms Children's Center receive a solid Christian education partnered with academic excellence to give them the best of both worlds.

LACC is one of the only Christian centers in the Des Moines metro area. Our Christian education is planned for purposefully.  We utilize the One In Christ curriculum series which includes bible stories, songs, and art projects, to incorporate a faith component in our day-to-day learning. Parents are welcome to visit our Wednesday chapel at 9:30 and 10am, which our Preschool and Pre-K children take part in.

Two-year-old Program

Two-year-old children are truly Little Helpers!  Their curiosity is beautiful and endless.  In this room we work to support large and fine motor development, which is so important at this stage of growth.  We also offer up intentionally created opportunity for social interactions, sensory exploration, and the building of trust with each care provider.

Three-year-old Program

Three is an age of enlightenment!  Here our Little Stars shine bright with independence and determination.  To support this natural development in children, we offer up lots of one-on-one social connections, opportunity for problem solving, and plenty of time to manage their emotional processes in a loving and secure manner.  Empathy and compassion mixed with a reliable routine and healthy limits help to create an independent yet secure child.

Four-year-old Program

Here is where many children start to grasp bigger concepts socially, academically, and spiritually.  In this space we build on what each individual child already understands.  We put great focus on social emotional learning and practical life skill to prepare them for the kindergarten experience.  The curriculum for this age is based on the current kindergarten readiness standards in the area.  ASQ assessments are also done to support healthy communication and connection between parent and teacher.

"My son has grown leaps and bounds at Loving Arms.  He has learned valuable social skills and excelled in learning basic skills, and we love that he’s receiving a faith-based education.  The staff at Loving Arms is caring, and trustworthy, and we know that our child is safe and in good hands when we drop him off every morning.  I am so happy to have found this treasure of a daycare."
